How to be a confident English speaker…

by | Feb 11, 2017 | Welcome | 0 comments

Hi, I’m Kate, the creator of this website. I hope I can help you become confident in speaking English.

I am a poet, English TEFL teacher and language learner. You are in the right place if you want to improve your IELTS score or confidence in speaking English in business situations.

Nowadays, I am not shy of trying to speak other languages or to read my poetry in front of others, but when I was at school I had a real problem with this.

I took a year off from university and travelled and had some really interesting adventures. From that point on I was much more confident in speaking. My proudest moment was when I gave a talk about my advocacy service to over 100 care home managers in a previous job. I’m telling you this because I absolutely understand what it is like to be shy when speaking, and that speaking a foreign language can make you feel this way, even if you are not like it when speaking your own language.

So my promise to you is that you will feel relaxed and at ease if you take Skype lessons with me. My aim is for all my lessons to be anxiety-free. On top of this, I am a qualified language coach as well as a qualified TEFL teacher and in that training, we were taught methods to keep the students brain calm, because it maximised learning, so you will make faster progress.

If you want to have Skype lessons and improve your IELTS or business English, please take a look at some of the lessons I offer on the other blog posts on this page, book a LOW-COST trial lesson now.
